Student Grievance Redressal Committee

At SKS Group of Colleges, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and transparent environment for our students. To ensure their concerns are heard and resolved fairly, we have established a Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC).

Objective

The primary objective of the committee is to address grievances and complaints of students in a time-bound and effective manner, ensuring justice, fairness, and equal opportunity for all.

Scope of Grievances

The committee looks into issues related to:

  • Academic matters (exams, evaluation, results, etc.)
  • Administration and infrastructure facilities
  • Discrimination or unfair treatment
  • Harassment or misconduct (excluding cases covered under specific committees like Anti-Ragging or ICC)
  • Any other genuine concern affecting student life

Functions of the Committee

  • To acknowledge and register grievances of students.
  • To investigate complaints with impartiality and fairness.
  • To provide appropriate solutions within a reasonable time.
  • To recommend policy changes, if required, to prevent recurrence.

Process of Redressal

  1. Students can submit their grievance in writing or through the prescribed grievance form.
  2. The committee reviews the complaint and calls for necessary information.
  3. A fair hearing is conducted, giving all parties an opportunity to present their views.
  4. The committee provides a resolution and ensures proper follow-up.

Composition of the Committee

The Student Grievance Redressal Committee consists of:

  • Chairperson (Senior Faculty/Head of Institution)
  • Faculty Members
  • Administrative Representative
  • Student Representative

At SKS Group of Colleges, we value student feedback and believe that resolving concerns promptly contributes to a healthy academic environment.
